WEST VALLEY CITY — A man on a motorcycle was killed Sunday in a crash on the Mountain View Corridor, and police said witnesses reported the man ran a red light before striking a passenger vehicle in the intersection.
According to a press release from West Valley City Police Department, the crash occurred at the intersection of 6200 South and Mountain View Corridor around 4:15 p.m.
Police said 57-year-old Leonard Rich, of Taylorsville, was traveling westbound on 6200 South on a motorcycle when witnesses report he ran a red light and struck a northbound passenger vehicle.
Rich was airlifted to a hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the car, a 58-year-old woman, was not injured. She was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
