SALT LAKE CITY - A television show will come to life this weekend at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. The Walking Dead Experience will give fans an opportunity to suit up as a survivor or a walker and participate in a simulated game at the Fan Xperience convention.

"We are so excited to be here," said Ashley Holmes, the Company manager for the Walking Dead Experience. "This is our first time doing FanX."

For $60, fans get thirty minutes of game time. Those who choose to be a walker, a member of the living dead, get an extra fifteen minutes for makeup, and training.

"You have to learn how to walk and to talk like a walker," Lemond Haynes, a Walker Captain, said.

Haynes is in charge of the training, and he said it's a quick process.

"Usually thirty seconds to a minute," he said. "I tell them to focus on three parts: your neck, a part of your midsection, and your feet."

The Walking Dead Experience isn't the only element at FanX this year, as there is a variety of celebrity guests like Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, Actress Kate Beckinsale, Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys, and Joey Fatone from N'Sync.

"It's different from Comic Con in that it appeals to a wider audience," said Chris Provost, a spokesman for FanX.

The events start Thursday afternoon and continues through Saturday night. For more information on guests, times and ticketing, click here.
