ALBANY – Tension at Donald Trump’s rally inside the Times Union Center in Upstate New York exploded in front of cellphone cameras Monday night when two men got into a physical fight.

Video shows one man lunging at a protester, who is booing repeatedly.  The Trump supporter grabs the man’s face, throwing his head back as others jump in to try to break up the scuffle.  Security officers then grab the protester and lead him out of the crowd.

Throngs of supporters lined up early in the afternoon to pack the Times Union arena, as thousands waited to hear Trump continue his offensive against opponent Ted Cruz, who has publicly criticized so-called “New York values.”

A line of supporters snaked around the building hours before the rally, the group chanting in a call-and-response fashion:

“Who wants the wall?”

“We want the wall!”

“Who’s going to pay for it?”

“Mexico!”

Inside the arena, raucous chants of “USA! USA!” could be heard as Trump took the stage, according to the Times Union.

During his speech, the current frontrunner in the race railed against the media, blasted “Lyin’ Ted” Cruz and continued to push his plan to stem the tide of immigration with a giant wall between the United States and Mexico, according to the Times Union.
