Fox 13 News expanding midday newscast

SALT LAKE CITY – KSTU/FOX 13, Tribune Broadcasting’s Salt Lake City station, announced the expansion of the station’s midday newscast Thursday.

Beginning Monday, April 25, FOX 13’s midday news will expand from 90 minutes to two hours, airing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Friday.

With the news expansion, FOX 13 will now produce 9 ½ hours of live, local news each weekday, with a total of 57 news hours per week.

The 11 a.m.-noon newscast will continue to be anchored by Kerri Cronk, Kelly Chapman and Allison Croghan, with Max Roth and Allison Croghan anchoring 12 noon-1 p.m.

FOX 13’s 57 hours of live, local news coverage is approximately 50% more hours of news than any other station in the market.
