SALT LAKE CITY — Tuesday is Primary Election Day in Utah, and voters have the chance to choose nominees in several key races around the state.
Republican Nominee for Governor
Jonathan Johnson is challenging Gov. Gary Herbert to be the Republican nominee in the gubernatorial race. The
winner will run against Democrat Michael Weinholtz for the office of Governor.
U.S. Senate
Misty Snow (D) and Jonathan Swinton (D) are vying for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. The winner will
run against Sen. Mike Lee (R) for a seat in the U.S. Senate.
U.S. House District 3
Chia-Chi Teng (R) is challenging Jason Chaffetz (R) for the Republican nomination. The winner will run against
Stephen Tryong (D) to represent Utah’s 3rd Congressional District.
State Senate District 10
Rich L. Cunningham (R) is challenging Lincoln Fillmore (R) in the race for Senate District 10. The winner will run
against Dan Paget (D).
State Senate District 14
Morgan Philpot (R) and Daniel Hemmert (R) are vying for the Republican nomination in Utah State Senate District
14.
State Senate District 16
Curt Bramble (R) and Christopher N. Herrod (R) are vying for the Republican nomination in Utah State Senate
District 16.
State House District 6
Mike Brenny (R) and Cory Maloy (R) are vying for the Republican nomination in Utah State House District 6.
State House District 20
Glen G. Jenkins (R) is challenging Becky Edwards (R) for the Republican nomination in Utah State House District
20.
State House District 34
Macade Jensen (R) and Jack P. Castellanos (R) are vying for the Republican nomination in Utah State House District
34.
State House District 53
Logan Wilde (R) is challenging Mel Brown (R) for the Republican nomination in Utah State House District 53.
State House District 57
Xani Haynie (R) is challenging Brian Greene (R) for the Republican nomination in Utah State House District 57.
State House District 67
Richard Moore (R) is challenging Marc Roberts (R) for the Republican nomination in Utah State House District 67.
State House District 75
Steven D. Kemp (R) and Walt Brooks (R) are vying for the Republican nomination in Utah State House District 67.
