Man arrested for DUI after flipping car, taking out power pole

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah – A suspect has been arrested for driving under the influence after flipping his car and taking out a power pole in Cottonwood Heights Tuesday.

Police said 2300 E. is shut down in both directions near 6800 S. at this time.

About 1,500 residents were without power after the pole went down.

Officers have not released the name or condition of the suspect.
