SALT LAKE CITY — TRAX service near the University of Utah is resuming after a collision between a train and a West Jordan police car Thursday afternoon.
The collision happened around 3:40 p.m. near the TRAX Stadium Station, next to Rice-Eccles Stadium. The Utah Transit Authority activated a temporary bus bridge to help the affected passengers to reach their destinations.
UTA reported at 4:30 that the rails have been cleared and TRAX service has resumed, but the incident may cause residual delays.
