CEDAR CITY, Utah — A family of five lost their home in a house fire in Cedar City Saturday night.
Fire crews responded to the home, near 600 S Morningside Circle, at 6:47 p.m. The fire extinguished by 9:30 p.m.
According to fire investigators, the fire started after the homeowner had been resealing the deck and left behind some rags that combusted.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Damage is estimated at $500,000.
