The Peterson Hollow fire is 100-percent contained and remains at 1,242 total acreage.

Officials said a smaller Type 4 Incident Management Team has taken over the fire that started on the Utah/Idaho state line back in Aug. 21.

The fire is about 23 miles northeast of Logan, Utah.

Beaver Mountain Ski Area has structure protection in place.

Officials said they believe an abandoned campfire may have started the blaze.

Area and trail closures on the Logan and Montpelier Ranger Districts will be back open Tuesday.

Firefighters will continue monitoring and controlling hot spots.

Officials said the only closure that will remain in place is the Sink Hollow Trail.

There is high potential for falling trees because of fire activity in the area.
