SALT LAKE CITY — The University of Utah Utes were No. 18 in both polls last week, but after a loss in Berkeley to Cal on Saturday the team has slid to No. 24.
Utah trailed Cal for much of the game Saturday, and down 28-23 they had a last-minute opportunity to cap off a comeback, but came up short.
The ranking is familiar territory for Utah, as they were No. 24 ahead of their comeback win vs USC before advancing to 18. Utah is now No. 24 in both the AP and the Coaches poll for week six.
Utah, 4-1 overall and 1-1 in conference, plays next on Saturday, October 8 when they host Arizona.
