One taken to hospital after vehicle hits pedestrian in Midvale

MIDVALE, Utah — A pedestrian was taken to a hospital in serious condition Friday night after they were struck by a vehicle, but the woman’s condition was later upgraded to good condition.

According to Unified police and fire personnel at the scene, the crash occurred in the area of 7200 South and 100 West around 7:07 p.m.

Police at the scene believe a woman may have been jaywalking when she was struck by a car. Initially crews feared the woman had suffered a head injury, and her condition was listed as serious. She was later upgraded to good condition upon further examination.
