Construction crew knocks out power in Murray, fire officials say

MURRAY, Utah — A construction crew caused a power outage in Murray Monday afternoon, according to officials with the Murray Fire Department.

Deputy Chief Jon Harris said It happened around 4:15 near 5000 S State St. when crews hit some underground wires. Power outages are affecting residents and businesses in central and northern Murray. Intermountain Medical Center is not affected.

Murray utilities officials expect to have most of the power restored by 6:30 p.m., and complete restoration by 8-9 p.m.
