CENTERVILLE, Utah — A gas leak forced officials in Centerville to close part of Main St. Tuesday afternoon.
The leak occurred in the area of Main St. between Chase St. and 1300 N, but the road has since reopened.
A Dominion Energy spokesman said a contractor hit a 2-inch plastic service line going into an elementary school, but no gas entered the building.
The gas line was turned off as of 3 p.m. as crews work to repair the broken line.
