SOUTH SALT LAKE — Jeffrey Black was in the passenger seat of the car that hit and killed South Salt Lake Police Officer David Romrell in November 2018.
But on Friday, the 44-year-old admitted that he played in role in Romrell’s death.
Black pleaded guilty to manslaughter and burglary, second-degree felonies. He admitted in plea documents that “as a party to the offense,” he “recklessly caused” Romrell’s death.
