Free quarantine streaming recommendations

While movie theaters remain closed, lots of free options remain at home: Amazon Prime, Hulu and Netflix are all offering 30 day free trial memberships.

Here are some recommendations from FOX 13's Steve Oldfield:

If you've never seen my favorite HBO series "The Sopranos," you can watch the whole thing for free. They're releasing the entire series that starred the late James Gandolfini — he was brilliant and fun to watch as a depressed gangster family man in the burbs of New Jersey.

They're also releasing one of my other top five series of all time: "Six Feet Under," about a family run funeral home with lots of characters.

HBO is sharing lots of their other great shows too - about 500 hours all FREE! You just have to download the HBO Now or HBO Go apps or visit their website and click on the free episodes tab.

Now's the perfect time to catch up on the first Star Wars movie in a long time to make my Top 10 of the year. "The Rise of Skywalker" has some really awesome effects and shows you what happened to the Death Star, among other things. The best part? They barely feature some of the irritating new characters who all but ruined the past few movies. It's now available through Redbox.

New to Hulu, the third season of their original series "Future Man," about a gamer who ends up inside his favorite game for the challenge of his life, traveling through time to save the world.

Hard to believe it's been eight years since the premiere of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," and for many of us, it's even harder to believe it's been decades since we were that age. The movie based on the best-selling book is now on Netflix — a great look at a shy high school freshman trying to fit in.

Lots of good free options to stay entertained... and safe!
