Vin Diesel's new action movie is getting some pretty bad reviews, but FOX 13's Steve Oldfield doesn't hate "Bloodshot." In fact, he loves one of Vin's co-stars. Read his review below:
If Vin Diesel's character caught the coronavirus, the microscopic robots in his blood would kick its butt.
The tiny creatures rebuild him from any injury. It's the kind of sci-fi where you have to suspend your disbelief — if you think too much about it, it'll just seem stupid.
It's based on a comic — but it's kind of up in the air if Vin's character is a super hero.
"His agenda isn't to rescue the planet," the actor said. "When you get into the story, you realize he's trying to stop the insanity that's being induced upon him. He's fighting for clarity."
See what I mean about it being confusing? The good news is: the stunts are pretty awesome — especially the fight scenes. I'm tough on effects that look fake, and this one has some scenes that blew me away.
But that's just part of it.
Eiza Gonzalez steals the show as one of the most captivating actors on the screen today — that's the polite way of saying she's so attractive and good at playing a cool tough lady, she has the potential starpower to be the next Angelina Jolie.
Most critics hated it, but I had enjoyed it. I don't think it's worth a big screen ticket but I definitely can recommend it if you like sitting back and watching a mindless and fun action movie.
