OREM, Utah — Intermountain Healthcare is making it easier for people to get tested for COVID-19 in Utah County this week.

"This helps increase access for underserved populations and while maintaining the stay home, stay safe percentage. The mobile unit will also be used in hotspot areas of increased COVID-19 positive tests and where increased testing is needed," a statement on Intermountain Healthcare's website said.

To help speed up the testing process, the healthcare provider recommends calling its COVID-19 Hotline at 844-442-5224 before arriving for a test.

According to Intermountain Healthcare, people in Orem and Provo are part of a high-risk population. They encourage everyone who lives there, including children, to get tested, even if they're asymptomatic.

"We've actually started to see some of the numbers increase, so we worked with state and local officials to address the needs of this community, identifying those in high-risk circumstances within this population," said Teri Adams, a continuous improvement consultant who works with Intermountain Healthcare.
