SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Justice Court and the city's first responders have joined forces to keep the wheels of justice rolling during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Salt Lake City Police and Fire Mobile Command Center is parked outside the court and is being referred to as, "Courtroom 6."

In a tweet, the Justice Court said it was "Testing out “courtroom 6” this morning."

The tweet went on to thank the SLCPD for sharing its toys during these most unusual times.

It also said, "This contraption will allow us to keep hearing the few, but important, in-person cases we have left on our dockets, even if we have to close the courthouse."

SLCPD tweeted back it was happy to help and that, "We hope it works and can keep moving cases forward. #SocialDistancing is important right now, but so is hearing cases."
