Almost 400 new COVID-19 cases and three new deaths reported by Department of Health

After two record-breaking days, the Utah Department of Health has released the latest COVID-19 numbers for the state.

There are now 17,462 lab-confirmed cases, an increase of 394 since Saturday.

Approximately 9,659 of those cases are considered to be recovered.

296,395 tests have been conducted, which is 3,518 more than reported on Saturday.

1,184 people have been hospitalized since March, an increase of 23 since Saturday. There are currently 169 people hospitalized in connection to the virus.

Three new deaths have been reported, bringing the statewide total to 158. The new deaths include a female resident of Salt Lake County between the ages of 45-64 who had been hospitalized, a male resident of Utah County between the ages of 65-84 who had been hospitalized, and a male resident of Washington County between the ages of 65-84 who was a resident of a long-term care facility.
