SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health's COVID-19 report for Monday shows 436 new confirmed cases and seven new deaths.
A total of 509,958 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Utah and the state's total case count is now 38,409.
2,253 people in Utah have required hospitalization for the disease and 281 have died. Of those hospitalized, 207 remain in the hospital.
The COVID-19 deaths announced Monday include:
- Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 45-64, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, between 65-84, San Juan County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, between 45-64, San Juan County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, between 45-64, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
25,321 of Utah's COVID-19 cases are considered recovered. The Utah Department of Health estimates the number of recoveries by counting the people who survived three weeks after a positive COVID-19 test.
