Monday's COVID-19 numbers in Utah: Four new deaths and 409 new cases

The Utah Dept. of Health reported 409 new cases of COVID-19 Monday and four additional deaths.

The four deaths span three northern Utah counties:

  • Two were Salt Lake County men. One between the ages of 45 and 64 who was hospitalized at the time of death, and one older than 85 who was in a long-term care facility.
  • A Utah County male between 45 and 64 who lived at a long-term care facility.
  • A Weber County man between the ages of 45 qnd 64 who was hospitalized.

Their deaths bring the total in Utah to 247.

199 people are currently hospitalized in Utah with COVID-19.

A total of 34,526 people have now been tested in Utah, an increase of 6,582 tests since Sunday

The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 612 per day.

The rolling seven-day average for percent of positive tests is 9.8 percent.
