The Utah Department of Health has released Saturday’s COVID-19 numbers.
There are now 33,332 lab-confirmed cases, an increase of 760 new cases since Friday.
20,421 people are considered to be “recovered” from the virus.
456,240 people have been tested, an increase of 8,434 since Friday.
The rolling seven-day average of positive cases is 10.2%
185 people are currently hospitalized. There have been 2,014 people hospitalized since March.
Eight new deaths have been reported, bringing the statewide total to 243.
The new deaths include:
· A San Juan man over the age of 85 who was hospitalized at the time of death, and a resident of a long-term care facility
· A Salt Lake County man between the ages of 65 and 84 who was hospitalized at the time of death.
· A Salt Lake County woman between the ages of 45 and 64 who was hospitalized at the time of death, and a long-term care facility resident.
· A Salt Lake County woman over the age of 85 who was hospitalized at the time of death.
· A Weber County man between the ages of 45 and 64 who was not hospitalized at the time of death.
· A Weber County man between the ages of 65 and 84 who was hospitalized at the time of death.
· A Washington County woman over the age of 85 who was a long-term care facility resident.
· A Washington County woman between the ages of 65 and 84 who was not hospitalized at the time of death, and a resident of a long-term care facility.
