4,770 new tests yield 388 new cases in Sunday's COVID-19 report from Utah Department of Health

The Utah Department of Health has released Sunday’s COVID-19 report.

New Cases
388 new cases have been reported, bringing the statewide total to 54,660 cases since March.

Tests Conducted
4,770 people were tested between Saturday and Sunday. 688,735 people have now been tested for COVID-19 in Utah.
The rolling seven-day average of positive tests is 397 per day, or approximately 9.5 percent of those tested.

Recoveries
46,233 cases are considered to be “recovered,” having tested positive for the virus three weeks ago and not passing away as a result of it.

Hospitalizations
120 are currently hospitalized. 3,207 people have been hospitalized in Utah since March.

Deaths
Two new deaths have been reported, bring the total deaths in Utah to 422. The newly reported deaths were:

  • A female between 65-84 who was a Utah County resident, and was hospitalized at time of death
  • A female between 65-84, who was a Davis County resident, and was hospitalized at time of death
