The Utah Department of Health has updated COVID-19 numbers for the state.
As of Saturday morning, there are currently 2,931 lab-confirmed cases. That’s an increase of 126 from Friday’s total of 2,805.
An estimated 59,944 people have been tested for the virus, 4,173 more than the previously reported 55,771.
There are seven new hospitalizations, now totaling 251 as compared to Friday’s total of 244.
There are 25 deaths in connection to COVID-19. There were previously 23.
One of the new deaths is a Utah County woman over the age of 60 who passed away while hospitalized.
The other is a Salt Lake County man over the age of 60.
It is unknown if either of them had underlying medical conditions.
