No new deaths and 152 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — No new deaths from COVID-19 were reported Wednesday by the Utah Department of Health, so the total number of deaths remains at 45.

There were 172 new confirmed cases reported, and there have now been 4,495 cases in Utah.

13 more people were hospitalized since yesterday's report. Since the outbreak began, the total number of hospitalizations is 383.

The total number of people who've been tested for COVID-19 in Utah is now 105,778, up 3,339 from Wednesday.

State Epidemiologist, Dr. Angela Dunn, will go over these latest numbers at the daily media briefing at 1:30 p.m.

She will be joined by Monte Roberts with the Division of Motor Vehicles will go over specifics the reopening of the DMV, and Gary Harter with Veterans and Military Affairs will talk about help for veterans who have not yet received their stimulus checks.

The briefing will be streamed live on the Fox 13 website and Facebook page.
