'Ogden's Own Distillery' delivering 485 gallons of hand sanitizer to Navajo Nation

OGDEN, Utah — "Ogden's Own Distillery" is hand-delivering 485 gallons of hand sanitizer to the Navajo Nation Wednesday.

The tribal lands, which lie in the four corners area and parts of Utah, Arizona and New Mexico, have been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Utah's Navajo land has a higher rate of COVID-19 than New York City.

Bud Frazier, a Navajo living in Utah, has organized several drives to gather hard-to-find products such as masks, gloves, groceries, water and toilet paper.

The distillery will deliver the hand sanitizer, named Five Wives Hand Sanitizer after its Five Wives Vodka, will be delivered to the Shiprock Charter House. a hopital and facility aimed at improving the lives of area residents.

From there, Ogden's Own volunteers will help distribute it throughout the community.
