Second day in a row with no new COVID-19 deaths reported by Utah Department of Health

The Utah Department of Health has released Sunday's COVID-19 report.

New Cases
448 new cases have been reported, bringing the statewide total to 51,854.

Lab Tests
4,947 new tests were conducted since Saturday’s reporting. 655,507 people have now been tested in Utah for COVID-19.
The seven-day average for positive tests is now 387, or approximately 9.1% of those tested.

Hospitalizations
116 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. 3,080 people have been hospitalized since March.

Recoveries
Approximately 43,724 people have recovered from the virus. The UDOH considers a recovery to be a patient who tested positive for the virus three weeks ago and did not pass away because of it.

Deaths
No new deaths have been reported for the second day in a row, keeping Utah’s fatalities at 407.
