BOUNTIFUL, Utah — Singer-songwriter Alex Boye is sharing his considerable talents with Utahns on the front lines in the effort to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Boye has performed around the world and has over 1 billion youtube views.

On May 14, he performed one of his free concerts outside Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful.

The private, socially-distanced concert was enjoyed by Lakeview Hospital employees, South Davis Metro Fire, and Bountiful Police.

Lunch was provided by R&R Grill.

Boye said it so important to recognize those in attendance.

“This concert is an opportunity to give a shout out to our heroes, to give a shout out to our health care workers and first responders, this is just a give back to the,” Boyé said. “Hopefully it will put a smile on their face before they go back out and go back to their tireless service."

The man who became Utah's first Covid-19 victim was treated at Lakeview when he first became ill.
