Two new deaths reported in Saturday's COVID-19 numbers

The latest statewide numbers for COVID-19 have been released by the Utah Department of Health.

As of Saturday, there are now 3,948 confirmed cases, an increase of 166 from Friday’s total of 3,782.

Approximately 90,206 people have been tested, 5,509 new tests since Friday.

329 people have been hospitalized in connection to COVID-19, and an estimated 1,399 people have recovered.

41 people have died from the coronavirus in Utah. That total shows two new cases since Friday.

The two new cases were both women over the age of 60 with underlying medical conditions. One was in Salt Lake County, one was in Washington County.

The Utah Department of Health will not be holding a press conference to go over the new figures.
