Utah counts 591 more COVID-19 cases, one additional death in post-holiday report

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health's COVID-19 report for Tuesday shows an increase of 591 confirmed cases—bringing the state's total to 362,347—and one additional death.

So far, 2,129,525 people in Utah have been tested for the disease. The state's rolling seven-day average for the number of positive tests is 950 per day. The rolling 7-day average for percent positivity of "people over people" is 13.7%. The rolling 7-day average for percent positivity of "tests over tests" is 6.42.

A total of 532,985 vaccines have now been administered in Utah.

272 people in Utah are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.

1,797 people in Utah have died of COVID-19. The death announced Tuesday was: Male, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death.
