CEDAR CITY, Utah — The Cedar City Police Department sent out a warning to be aware of scams by phone and text.
In a post on social media, the department said, they have received several reports that someone is calling or texting and claiming to represent the Cedar City Police Department demanding money and threatening warrants.
The police do not contact people requesting money for warrants and this is a fraud.
