MURRAY, Utah — The Utah Humane Society would like to alert the public of a scammer going door-to-door in the Ogden and Sugar House areas asking for donations for the humane society. The Utah Humane Society said they will never collect donations door-to-door and are not associated with the solicitor.
“Scams like this hurt the public and the charities that are working hard to fundraise,” said Karin Duncker, Utah Humane Society development director. “Caring people are giving money with the good intention of helping a charity cause, but that money isn’t going where it needs to go.”
The suspects have been described as female with no other details provided.
