SALT LAKE CITY — A man was killed and a woman was critically injured after a shooting at an Apartment complex in Salt Lake City.
Police say the homicide happened around 3:30 Saturday morning at the "Milagro Apartments" on 241 W. 200 South.
"I do not know the relationship and we do not know the circumstances between the two of them or what actually occurred other than somebody shot two people at this address," said Lt. Lisa Pascadlo with the Salt Lake City Police Department.
FOX 13 obtained a letter from the apartment complex that was sent to residents, saying the shooting happened inside an elevator on the 7th floor of the complex.
The letter said in part, "Please be aware, the person who fired the shots this morning is not a Milagro resident. Police do not believe there is any ongoing threat."
It also detailed that the person who died was someone who was visiting a resident. The other victim who was critically injured was a resident of the complex.
