SALT LAKE CITY — Emergency crews are at Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City after an explosion in the boiler room Monday morning.
The boiler explosion forced road closures near the hotel, at 500 S Main St.
Salt Lake City Fire Captain Tony Stowe said two contractors with an outside company were working on boiler maintenance at the time of the explosion. Both workers went to the hospital with minor to serious injuries.
Stowe said gas and electricity have been shut off at the hotel, but no other buildings nearby are affected.
