A brush fire in Payson was contained Saturday night before causing any major property damage.
According to Utah County Fire Warden Kelly Watts, multiple crews responded to the call which came in around 10:20 p.m. to the area of West Mountain near Utah Lake.
The brush fire did manage to cross the road during firefighting efforts, however crews were still able to regain control and extinguish it before it continued to spread.
Approximately 9 acres of brush were burned, as well as a few small fence posts, but no other property damage was reported.
Crews will remain on scene today monitoring hot spots.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
