KEARNS, UTAH -- A fatal traffic accident was reported in Kearns Friday night, prompting a road to be closed as crews responded to the incident.
Officials with the Unified Police Department said Friday they were on the scene of the fatal accident, which occurred near 5850 S 5600 W.
Details on the nature of the accident were not available at the time of this report.
Authorities have identified the victim as 37-year-old Cecilia Ruby Chavez of Magna.
Police said 5600 W. was closed in the area following the accident.
