SALT LAKE COUNTY — A wildfire near Mount Olympus continued to grow Tuesday night.
The "Neffs Fire" was first reported early Tuesday morning, shortly after midnight. It is located on U.S. Forest Service land about 1.5 miles up Neffs Canyon, east of Olympus Cove in Millcreek.
State wildfire officials estimated the fire at 53 acres with no measurable level of containment Tuesday night.
Two helicopters, two fixed-wing aircraft with water platoons and about 80 firefighters worked to contain the blaze.
No structures are threatened and the cause of the fire is unknown.
People are asked to avoid the area.
