PRICE, Utah — The Southeast Utah Health Department announced the first positive COVID-19 case in Carbon County Wednesday.

The patient is an adult male between the ages of 25 and 45 and is believed to be a visitor of the county. He has been asked to self-isolate for 14 days per CDC recommendations.

SEUHD is investigating to find those that could have been potentially exposed and suggest they self-quarantine and monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 that include cough, shortness of breath and fever.

Bradon Bradford, SEUHD Health Officer stated, “This case highlights the need for each of us to stay home as much as possible and follow the directive of the Governor to “Stay Home, Stay Safe”.
