HEBER CITY, Utah — Heber City's Police and Public Works departments collected 285 pounds of food from people who were given the chance to pay off parking tickets with food donations.

People with parking tickets in Heber City were allowed to donate five non-perishable, non-expired food items in exchange for parking ticket forgiveness between February 10 and 22. According to the Heber City website, a parking ticket normally incurs a fee of $25.
The donations benefited the Heber Valley Food Pantry.
