SALT LAKE CITY — The Internal Revenue Service on Wednesday launched an online service to help Americans track their coronavirus stimulus checks. However, many users reported long waits and errors.
“Due to high demand, you may have to wait longer than usual to access this site. We appreciate your patience,” a message on the IRS “Get My Payment” web site read.
Other users encountered messages reading, “Please try again later” due to errors involving their tax return information, or a maximum number of attempts to access the online tool.
