ANTELOPE ISLAND STATE PARK, Utah -- A man who was possibly gored by a bison on Antelope Island Saturday died from his injuries, officials say.
The man, who was identified as Larry Adams, 55, from Syracuse, was discovered by two women who heard his cry for help Saturday afternoon.
The women were on the island's lakeside trail. Officials said Adams was trail running during the possible attack.
"The women called 911 and state park personnel responded," the press release stated. "They then promptly administered first aid and called for a medical helicopter to transport the injured man to the University of Utah hospital for further treatment."
Officials Adams had signs of being attacked by a bison, but there were no known witnesses. The incident remains under investigation.
