WEBER COUNTY, Utah — Utah reservoirs have always been popular, but with limited travel options during the pandemic, foot traffic is at an all time high.
Officials in Weber County noticed the overcrowding concerns, and now they say additional parking at popular reservoirs will serve as a short-term fix.
An additional lot is now open to the public at Causey Reservoir, and the plan includes the expansion of the already existing Skullcrack lot and an emergency search and rescue ramp.
Weber County and the U.S. Forest Service also have plans to develop two additional parking lots at Pineview Reservoir in hopes to keep recreating safe and enjoyable.
