MURRAY, Utah — One person is recovering in the hospital, and another is in police custody after a shooting Saturday night.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired around 9:00 PM in the area of 47 West Fireclay Avenue.
According to Sergeant Coons with the Murray Police Department, someone was put into a vehicle after the shots were fired.
That car pulled up to Intermountain Medical Center with an individual who had been shot in the upper torso.
The victim was rushed into surgery in critical condition, but is expected to recover.
There were no other injuries reported.
Police do have a suspect in custody.
Authorities believe the victim and the shooter know each other, and they had some sort of disagreement.
