SALT LAKE CITY — Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Salt Lake City wants to help those struggling to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.
On Sunday at 3:30 p.m., the church located at 275 N. 700 West is giving out 100 turkeys for free to families in need. Those who could use the help are instructed to drive up to the church, where the turkeys will be handed out to them while remaining in their cars.
"We know that times are tough every year," the announcement read, "but this year hit everyone extremely hard."
The announcement added that the turkeys came from a "donation from our wonderful community." They said it is their first annual turkey drive, and they hope to do it for years to come.
