CACHE COUNTY, Utah — A man was arrested Monday on several counts of rape and sexual assault, which police say he committed against two women in Cache County.

According to police, two women reported to Logan City Police last month that 25-year-old Arthur Bryar Robinson had sexually assaulted or abused them. One was referred to the Cache County Sheriff's Office as the reported offenses took place outside of Logan City jurisdiction.

One woman told police that Robinson sexually assaulted her seven times starting in 2016, saying that despite her saying "no" and physically resisting, he forced her to perform sexual acts. She said he also performed sexual acts on her despite her resistance.

Another woman said that between November 2019 and June 2020, Robinson raped her while she told him "no" multiple times. He also touched her against her will and performed other sexual acts on her despite her resisting physically and verbally multiple times over several months, she told police.

In late September, the second woman made a "confrontational phone call" to Robinson, in which he admitted to raping her and sexually assaulting her multiple times, according to court documents. During the call, the woman told Robinson that he had assaulted her on 30 occasions.

"[He] replied and said it had happened about twice a month, so probably about twenty times," the probable cause for arrest statement said. He also reportedly admitted that he believed what he did to her was illegal. He also said he was "manipulative, coercive, and selfish."

Police said that as they interviewed him Monday, he admitted to performing sex acts on the first woman against her will and forcing her to perform sex acts on him.

They also talked to him about the second woman, and he admitted to raping her, as well as object rape and forcible sexual abuse, police said. He also admitted to touching her inappropriately and without her consent as well as "treating the victim as an object and not stopping sexual assault when told to," the report states.

He faces two counts of rape, two counts of object rape, four counts of forcible sodomy and two counts of forcible sexual abuse. He is being held without bail in the Cache County Jail.
