SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — A woman is recovering after being shot in the thigh late Friday night.

According to Salt Lake City Police, the 19-year-old woman was at an LKQ business on Ninigret Drive to watch street racers.

She was seated in the rear passenger seat of a friend's vehicle when she heard three shots, and realized she had been hit in the leg.

Another car took to her Intermountain Medical Center, reportedly in stable condition.

The woman's mother reported the shooting to police, who were able to recover bullet fragments at the scene.

The shooting was also captured on local business security cameras, where police say they observed the driver of a blue car did have a gun.

This is a developing story.
