MANTI, Utah — The Sanpete County Sheriff's Office is investigating the murder of a 73-year-old man.
According to a post on the Sheriff's Facebook page, emergency dispatchers received a call around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
A man who identified himself as 32-year-old Michael Hartnell said he had killed someone and wanted to turn himself in.
Officers responded to the Hideaway Valley area and located Hartnell at a residence on Cobble Ridge Road.
Joseph Vallejo was located deceased in the residence.
Hartnell was arrested and transported to the Sanpete County Jail to be booked in on the charge of Murder.
