EUREKA, Utah — Search and rescue crews responded Tuesday night to help young man out of a mine near Eureka.
The 18-year-old from Layton went deep into Colorado Mine #2 and didn't feel safe enough to get out on his own, according to Utah County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Spencer Cannon. He was not injured or trapped.
As of about 10:15 p.m., crews were still working out a plan to help him get out. Cannon told FOX 13 it is a very technical operation.
