ST GEORGE, Utah — A St. George man has been arrested on suspicion of shooting and killing his roommate.

According to a probable cause statement, St. George police officers responded to a report of a gunshot early Wednesday morning and found an adult male with a gunshot to his chest.

The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

32-year-old Tommy Bradshaw was at the location and told officers he had shot the victim, who was his roommate.

Bradshaw said he had been in the residence when the victim returned home and hit Bradshaw's bedroom door loudly.

Bradshaw retrieved a handgun from his closet, and left the room to seek out his roommate.

Bradshaw located the man in a closet and pointed the gun at him before pulling the trigger and seeing the victim fall to the ground, according to charging documents.

Bradshaw is facing a charge of murder and his bail has been set at $100,000.
