PROVO, Utah — In an Instagram post Thursday, Provo High School announced the football game against Timpview High School would be canceled due to COVID-19 exposure in their school community.
The post said three classes of students and several coaches have been quarantined as a precaution.
It also explained that because of the impact on the coaches and some players, the game planned for Friday would be canceled.
Provo School District started classes on August 19 with three options for instruction.
Families could choose an in-person reduced schedule, home-study, or online learning.
The Instagram post also detailed that they are working with the ticket vendor to navigate refunds for people who have already bought their tickets.
